Rooted in Tradition, Growing with Purpose
The school falls under the umbrella of the Shree Mahalingeshwara Temple Education Trust, a non-profit body affiliated with the temple of the same name. It is situated in a calm and tranquil location on the temple grounds in Kunjathur village, approximately 3 kilometres from the town centre.
The institution is affiliated with NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling), New Delhi, under the Right to Education Act of 2009. The school received accreditation under Reference No. F-27/1-6/2023/NIOS/SSS/OBE/Accr/EOBE/1142, dated 25.10.2024, with renewal accreditation confirmed under Accreditation No. OB0918317.
The school's approach centres on giving children room to grow freely. Alongside the NCERT-guided curriculum, equal importance is given to meditation, physical activity, creative pursuits, and the principle of "living in truth."
This philosophy shapes every academic and extracurricular activity offered. The school's signature "Panchangashikshan" framework structures learning around five core areas: Yoga, Sports, Music, Sanskrit, and moral education (Naithik).
Beyond the classroom, students are encouraged to learn through experience — from meditation and yoga to music, Bharatanatyam, craft, and sports. The result is a school day that feels balanced: one that nourishes the mind, the body, and the character at the same time.
The "Panchangashikshan" Approach
This philosophy shapes every academic and extracurricular activity offered. The school's signature "Panchangashikshan" framework structures learning around five core areas — each one playing a distinct role in the development of the whole child.
Rather than treating education as a single stream of academics, the framework weaves together the physical, the intellectual, the cultural, the artistic, and the moral. A child is not asked to choose between them — they are encouraged to hold all five together, so that what is learned becomes what is lived.
This is not an add-on to the school day, but the rhythm of it. Every week, every activity, and every interaction is quietly shaped by these five streams — creating a learning environment where the mind and character grow together, and where a child leaves not just with knowledge, but with a way of being.
Together, these five areas form the rhythm of a school day that nourishes both mind and character.
Yoga
Stillness, breath, and physical well-being — the foundation of a calm and focused mind.
Sports
Discipline, energy, and team spirit — learning to play, to win, and to lose with grace.
Music
Expression, rhythm, and creative confidence — both instrumental and classical.
Sanskrit
Heritage, language, and ancient wisdom — a living link to India's traditions.
Naithik
Moral education and inner character — the quiet strength that guides every choice.
A Learning Environment
Built on Freedom & Truth
Where academic learning meets moral, physical, cultural, and spiritual growth — nurturing every child completely.
Curriculum & Opportunities
Curriculum & Opportunities
Students have opportunities to learn and participate in karate, sports, music, Bharatanatyam dance, craft, and yoga. The curriculum also draws on India's ancient philosophical traditions, cultural legacy, and the wisdom of respected teachers worldwide, while introducing students to lesser-known figures from Indian history.
Holistic Development
Holistic Development
The school places importance on holistic development, combining academic learning with moral, physical, cultural, and spiritual growth. Every child is encouraged to grow freely, rooted in the principle of "living in truth."
Education here is not limited to the classroom — it is a way of life that shapes character, builds confidence, and prepares students to serve their community, their country, and humanity as a whole.
Every child matters. Education · Values · Community.
